Density,Twist & Fiber
Factors such as density, twist and fiber should be considered
when selecting the quality of an area rug.
Density: refers to the tightness of the tufts
or knots. The more densely the rug is woven, the better the area
rug will wear over time.
Twist: refers to the amount of yarn spirals. A
yarn twist that is tighter provides added durability to prolong the
life of the rug.
Fiber: area rugs are made from a variety of
synthetic and natural fibers. Synthetic fibers offer brilliant
colors, a soft hand and easy maintenance at a value.
